Absolutely amazing! Excellent breakfast, really nice rooms, and Cheryl and Wayne are such gracious and knowledgeable hosts!!! The barista (Cheryl) knows her stuff and makes yummy espresso and cappuccino. Hopefully you'll get a chance to hear Wayne play some music, because it's a treat. Book the Nor'Easter Suite and because you'll really enjoy the Japanese bath. The Nor'Wester Suite is also quite nice. I highly recommend a stay!

This place is amazing. It's newly and nicely built and has a great view of the water and sunrises in the morning. Just down the road from Linkum boat tours and a short ten minute drive to L'Anse Aux Meadows National History Site, as well as Norstead Viking Village. Wayne is an incredible host, makes a fantastic breakfast, and plays a mean guitar (and has a great voice to go with it). If I ever come back, there's no question where I'd be staying. The Big Blow is phenomenal.

Our hosts were great! Everything was ready for us and breakfast was informal and comfortable like you were staying with old friends. Portions were hearty and they make lattes! The dining room overlooked the ocean and was such a pleasant place to have the first meal of the day. They don’t live on site but do live nearby. They did not require us to remove shoes.

The next morning we had a delicious breakfast. Eggs, coffee or tea, juice , bacon, and home made muffins . I never ate muffins that good before. Delicious !

This was our favourite accommodations we stayed during our trip. This was the last place and we wish we could have stayed longer. We arrived in the evening so it was dark and difficult to see but we got in alright. The location is perfect because you overlook the ocean and it’s not a busy road.

A few things to note… that this place has only been open since this summer and that there were a few unfinished items like the elevator walls and some of the crown molding still left to put up. Nothing to distract from all the other features and awesome points. Would love to return to just stay here for a week with nothing to do but get up and wander around with zero itinerary.

The set-up left a little to be desired though. Our suite (with a lie-down shower) was one of two in the lower level and the only ways to get there was outside around the building or by the elevator which could only be operated with one of the hosts. Getting up and down was kind of a pain especially when the weather was raining for almost 2 days. However, this was easily overlooked because our suite was HUGE. It was probably bigger than some of the bachelor condos in Toronto. Not only did it have a huge living space with the most comfortable king sized bed we have slept on during our trip, but the bathroom boasted both lie down shower (convertible to normal standing shower), double vanity and Jacuzzi tub. We took advantage of these things and the cable with large TV. What a treat! Problem was on a crappy day you could potentially never leave the room even though you should. Lots of windows in the suite as well and it was so peaceful to sit looking out the window typing away at something (like this review!) or reading a book. A lot of the lights are also automated by motion so you’re not left fumbling around in the dark. Lots of little details that added to the experience of staying here.
